These Z-Select 2000T labels are printed using thermal transfer. The printer uses a ribbon to transfer the text and barcode onto the label.
As a result, you do need a thermal transfer ribbon. Zebra lists, among others, the 2300 wax and various wax/resin ribbons as suitable combinations for Z-Select 2000T. Which ribbon is the best fit depends on the application and the desired print durability.
